This course offers a survey of key religious traditions and their affiliated institutions within Kurdish society. Traditions to be studied include Sunni Islam, particularly the Shafii madhhab, Sufism, Alevism, Yezidism, reform movements and non-Muslim religions such as Christianity and Judaism.
